Thomas J. Mechels, 81, of Brooklyn Park, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 8, 2020.
Tom is survived by wife of 60 years, Florence; children, Lisa Williams, Steven (Lynn) Mechels, Robert (Rhonda) Mechels and Lynn (Chad) Holmen; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Stephanie (Bill), August, Carson, Johanna, Audrey and Rose; three great grandchildren, Lily, Weston and Livy; one brother, Roger Mechels; five sisters, Arlene Karels, Ann Lynch, Monica Grindle, Joan Sitts and Norma Parr Soule.
Tom was a member of the Church of St. Raphael since 1964 and the Holy Name Society at St. Raphael since 2009. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree (1958) and the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree (2001).
Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the Church of St. Raphael.
